Why is Boar Bristle the Best Bristle?
Boar Bristle behaves like human hair. For that reason it transports oil from your scalp down to your ends....preventing dryness on the ends and getting rid of greasy roots. If you are looking to skip more wash days, boar bristle is the answer.
Can I use boar bristle on wet hair and on all hair types?
Yes! There are two types of bristles on the brush. The plastic bristle is for detangling and the boar bristle is for hair health. The brush is designed to work for wet or dry hair, curly or straight. We also have a Wet Hair Brush specifically for out of the shower use if you are looking for more gentle, pain free detangling or if you are concerned about breakage. Boar Bristle is designed for all hair types: thick, thin, curly, or straight!
Where and How Do You Source Your Brushes?
Brushes are sourced globally from several suppliers by our owner who is a Certified Hair Loss Practitioner and Associate Trichologist. All brushes are used in our home for 3-6 months before they ever reach our shop in order to make sure that they get the stamp of approval from our 5 Birds.
How Quickly Can I Expect My Brushes?
Orders Ship within 2 business days and are sent via USPS. Please make sure that you enter your correct shipping address at checkout. All shipments will be sent to the address provided.
How Often Should I Clean and Replace my Brushes?
Weekly Brush cleaning with a Clarifying Shampoo is a MUST. This removes dead skin cells, debris, and bacteria from the brush. Boar Bristle Brushes should be replaced every 6-12 months in order to keep a clean, sanitary condition for your scalp and keep bristles moving oil down your hair shaft. Plastic Brushes should be replaced every 12 months as plastic brustles can lose firmness over time.
